First of all, I'm running Sierra on a MacBook Air and I wasn't sure if I should post this there or not.
Second of all, I have a 2TB LG Thumbdrive that I am trying to create 10 partitions of equal size on. Using Disk Utility will give me 2 and then throw an error.
Is there a trick to getting this to work?

The volume Untitled was found corrupt and needs to be repaired.
File system check exit code is 8.
Couldn’t modify partition map because file system verification failed. Please verify and repair each volume individually and then try again.
I've tried booting into recovery and repairing the thumb drive and all goes fine. File system check exit code is 8.
