Problem deleting app that does not work

i am trying to delete an app that does not work. i am getting an error message that reads " the operation can't be completed because one or more required items can't be found. [Error code -43] ". Any ideas on what to do? I am running OS X El capitan 10.11.4

Boot up your computer into restore mode. Once in restore mode run a disk repair in Disk Utiility. You might have disk corruption.
