Problem deleting calendar events

I've noticed that when I delete a calendar event, my iPhone seems to delete some other event temporarily instead of the one I wanted to delete. If I press the home button and then go back into calendar, it's resolve; the event I wanted to delete is gone and all my other events are still there. Any ideas? :confused:
