I have 27 inch iMac with 3tb fusion drive. I have already created a USB bootable mountain lion. When I go to erase the drive it says un mounting disk 2 and then after a few seconds screen goes black and boots up with a message saying computer had an error hit any key to continue and it takes me to the the desktop with them old data. Any help anyone know could be the problem?????

Are you saying that after the error message, it reboots to the Fusion drive with your OS and data still intact?
Which volume is "disk 2" according to Disk Utility, when running from the USB installer?
Have you verified all the disks?

Do you want to reinstall because you are experiencing some problem? If so, what is the problem?

Is the installer disk 10.8.3 or 4? If it is earlier than that, it may not work on the newer hardware.
