I have a problem with downloading files. The only time I can download files is when i option-click. Sometimes, that doesn't even work. I use Safari, but the problem's the same for Internet Explorer. Say for example, I want to download itunes from apple.com.

1. I go to apple. com and go to the itunes section.
2. I press on the "download" link.
3. I put in the info, like e-mail address, name and os (osx for me), then i press the "download itunes" button.
4. It loads a page where it says "Thank you for downloading itunes... If it does not, please click here (link to file)".
5. I wait for the download to begin, i don't click on anything. Then, when that page does finish loading, it goes back to the previous page, where I have to put in my email address, name, ect.
6. So, I do that, and it goes back to the "thank you for downloading" page. I option-click the link, and only then does it start to download.

So, the main problem is, i can only download files which have a direct link to them. And i have to force download them. If i just click on the link, then it just goes to a new page (where it normally says download in progress) for a second, then back to the previous page. Instead of downloading files, it just refreshes the page. How can I fix this?

I'm new to macs, and have os x 10.3.3. Before i upgraded from 10.3.2, i still had this problem. Thanks in advance!
