Problem downloading iTunes update

Trying to download iTunes latest update from Apple's website...it starts fine indicating update should finish in like 5 or 6 minutes, then immediately the download speed starts dropping like crazy (down to 1.2 kb/sec!!!!) which would take a couple days to download. Tried several times from different computers and different internet connections with the same end result.

Anybody else experiencing this? Maybe Apple's download servers are swamped with everybody downloading huge Lion?

Have you tried downloading it through Software Update?

Yes, after my original post I went ahead and tried through Software Update...which happened fast and with no problems at all. I'l go ahead and update my two remaining Mac's like that.

Initially, I was just trying to avoid three separate downloads...now, I'm mainly curious as I've never had any issues before trying to download directly from Apple.
