"Problem Downloading Software" when trying to Restore iPhone 5s

Ill start off by saying I have not jailbroken my phone or done any other funny business. I just tried to clean restore my iPhone 5s (purchased on release date) and in iTunes the 'iPhone software download' continues to drop with a quarter left and I get a 'Problem Downloading Software' message.

What's the deal with this?

Your internet connection is probably having issues. Try download the firmware from another site.

Or, you could restore your iPhone without iTunes by selecting "Erase all content and settings" from inside the Settings app.

Third option, wait a few hours and try again with iTunes. Or try another computer attached to another network.
