Problem exporting from FCP to Quicktime

Ive been looking all over and I am sorry if this has been posted on here before as I am new to this site and havent had much time to look around. I select my sequence in the timeline, File, Export, Export to Quicktime Movie. I keep audio and video selected as well as keep movie self contained also keeping current settings selected. This is a small sequence only about 3 minutes. I hit save and it exports to my desktop as a quicktime movie, opens but says its only nine second long and is only black, no video or audio nothing, nadda, zilch. I was wondering if anyone has had this same problem before and if so, if you know of anyway around this. I am just trying to convert it to quicktime so I can send it to DVD SP and burn a quick DVD. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you used QuickTime Movie (CMD+E), then make sure you haven't set any IN and OUT points.
