Problem getting photos from iPhone 4 to iPhoto

For a while now I have been struggling to get photos to sync from my phone to iPhoto. iPhoto recognises all of the photos on my phone but when I try to import them it hangs at the first photo and never imports anything. I've left it for about half an hour and it didnt get any more done.

It has been like this for a few weeks now. Anybody know about a fix for this or another way to get the photos off my phone?

there is a new little program out called SeeSee this app lets you upload/download images to your iPhone using an Internet browser. You simply have to turn on Wi-Fi sharing in SeeSee and an Internet address will be provided. Type this into your browser and the iPhone's camera roll will be displayed. You can then upload/download images and videos from your computer easily.
