In one of my word documents (17 pg document) I have text written, but it is appearing twice (about a paragraph). And when I go to highlight it, it is highlighting the original and the copy that appeared out of nowhere:confused:

Can anyone help?

Save the document in RTF (Rich Text Format), close Word, and then reopen the document. It may lose a little formatting, but it should behave normally after that.

I get problems when I produce really long documents too. My recommendation would be to split your document up into smaller sections...

Thanks, I will try these things. Plue it is only about a paragraph so maybe I will just retype that part.
Thanks so much for your input.

Could you post a screen shot (COMMAND-SHIFT-3) because I've had much larger documents with no issues. :)
sorry, the paragraph is too long to see the double print on the screen

yes, I tried this and also restarting the computer.
Any other suggestions:confused:

If converting to RTF didn't work, you could also try cutting and pasting into a new document, deleting the duplicate paragraph, and saving the new document.

Fixed!

Ahhhhhhhhh yes. I think I fixed it after trying all other suggestions.
What I did was cut the doubled paragraph, then inserted a page break, then moved up the following page through the new page, then pasted the paragraph again and amazingly it was by itself. Hey, whatever works!
Thanks for all the help!
