I have been using my company's exchange capabilities since I got the new iphone in July. Calendars, mail, contacts were syncing flawlessly and very quickly just as Apple demonstrated in their press conference.
Last friday I upgraded to 2.1. Immediately my Mail App started to crash when I opened it. I could delete the account, re-add it and it would work. HOWEVER, when I turned my phone off and then back on, the crashes would persist. I would then remove my exchange account and only have my gmail on there and the Mail App would work just fine - without a restart of the phone. I added my work email with IMAP and that too now works just fine (just like it was pre-iphone software 2.0). I have to plug in my iphone to sync calendars etc. now though.
So I can add my Exchange account and it WILL work until I restart my phone. What is going on??? Problem with my work's exchange settings or is there something else going on more on Apple's end with re to the new software? Does 2.1 only support Exchange 2007? Apple techs have been stumped on this one.
