Problem Launching Warcraft III

Whenever i try to launch it i get an error saying "Sorry Warcraft III cant be opened." Then I checked my console.log and i get LaunchApplicationWithDocument: -43

Is there any way I can resolve this?

The 1.23a patch is broken and doesn't update one of the files. In order to have Warcraft work, reinstall the game and grab the 1.21a patch that updates the file, then patch to 1.23a. You can find the older patch from here

The other funny thing to do is create a shortcut/alias to "Warcraft III.app" and name it "Warcraft III" inside the Warcraft folder. The Frozen Throne will work like this without the need for reinstalling, however this may generate problems later down the track if another patch comes out (files will not be correct version, meaning a reinstall anyway).

Ok i tried that now when i double click the patch i keep getting a message saying that my disc isnt in the CD-rom drive when it is. I have no idea why this is happening

Was that immediately after the 1.21a patch? If so, that's normal. Just click cancel and then use the 1.23a patch straight afterwards. The 1.21a patch did not remove the CD check, however 1.23a will not require the CD.

If that fails, reinstall and patch straight to 1.23a (so the error appears). Then here to this thread and grab the file I uploaded and replace it. This is all the 1.21a patch does differently.
