CarPlay Problem locating gas station in Apple Maps

Hey folks just bought a 2021 Toyota Avalon hybrid and am having a Maps problem that is frustrating on trips.
Plug in my iPhone 11 running iOS 14.4 and drive a couple 100 miles, then try to locate a gas station; it doesn't work. My screen shows gas stations around my starting point. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
