Problem physically installing pioneer a06

I installed the new pioneer a06 dvd burner and found that the tray will not pass though the mirror doors! I tried both optical bays, and the tray is a millimeter or so too high, so that it will not eject. I've tried all sorts of shifting around of the metal carrier, but cannot get it to work. I've got the current G4 tower.

Has anyone heard of this happening?
