problem pitch shifting with logic 8..

im trying to pitch a loop that i put on a audio track down...

using the time and pitch machine it looks pretty straight forward..i can listen to the result but when i click "process and paste" it says that it can not complete teh process because the loop i am trying to pitch is an apple loop......but it is not. it is a normal wav file...

anyone know what i am doing wrong ? thanks.
