Hello,
If I tap the top of my screen the brightness goes down. As soon as I stop the brightness goes back to normal. Is this a protection or is the macbook not ok?

It's normal. It's an option that regulate the brightness of the screen depending of the light the light sensor see. What you're tapping is the sensor. You can turn off the option in your screen settings.

Mine doesn't do that.

Are you talking about covering up the iSight webcam on the front of your screen? Because if you do that then your laptop will think its in a dark room and the screen will get dimmer because you don't need such a bright screen in the dark. Try deactivating it by going to:

System Preferences --> Displays --> Untick "Automatically adjust brightness as ambient light changes".

Now tell us if it still happens.

Thanks. When I turn the option off the screen is normal again.
