problem sharing iphoto to idvd

I'm hoping this group can help me out. I created a slideshow in iphoto and then went to share it in idvd. It processed half of the slideshow and then gave an error message of "An error occurred while exporting the slideshow. The export movie file could not be created". I thought there might be a problem with the particular slideshow but I tried another and got the same error message. Any ideas on how to rectify this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
