Not sure which forum to post this in, so I'll start here.
Got an iPhone 4S, ATV3, and 3rd Gen. Airport Extreme Base Station
All devices show a full strength Wi-Fi signal yet streaming HD video from my 4S to the ATV3 doesn't work very well. A 30-second video is 100-120MB yet it takes 10-15 seconds to send the first half of it to the ATV before it starts playing and even then, most of the time, it catches up and the video pauses while more data is sent.
When copying data from my MBP connected over Wi-Fi to my Linux box (connected to the AEBS via Ethernet) it shifts 100MB in a few seconds so why does the 4S struggle?
I can't find anywhere on any device that gives details of its current Wi-Fi connection - whether it's connected using 11g or 11n, and what speed - but based on file copying from my MBP it's a fast connection. On Windows you can mouse-over the Wi-Fi icon in the System Tray and a tooltip tells you the connection speed.
Any suggestions?
