Maybe I'm not doing this right..but I'm not able to stream non-downloaded music on my new AWU2 using cellular connectivity. The playlists I haven't downloaded to my watch are greyed out and cannot stream despite my watch being connected to the cellular network. Is this as its designed? I figured when I activated cellular connectivity that I could simply stream my entire library and playlists without needing to download them to the watch ahead of time. Am I misunderstanding the Music app here? Is the only solution to download all my playlists I'll need for my runs ahead of time? I was looking forward to streaming the personalized radio station on my runs, but it doesn't seem to be possible.

Mine (Series 6) works as you've understood it to work. It eats the battery like crazy, but I have access to my entire library, not just the things I've downloaded to the watch.

Not sure what's going on, but the only thing I can think of is to see if it works when it's on Wifi, but away from the phone. If it works, the issue is with the watch. If it doesn't, seems like the issue would be with the cellular connection.

Thanks for the reply. I followed Apple’s instructions and unpaired and re-paired and it solved the issue. The cellular network wasn’t connecting and now it is. 🤷🏻‍♂️
