In my macbook4,1 (early 2008) with 4GB RAM and running OSX Lion, I'm trying to install Windows7 with Bootcamp Assistant 4.0.4 but I get stuck after selecting partition size.
It does not detect the windows install disk (DVD) and I can not move forward with partitioning/installation.

I've been able to install it in Parallels 8 virtual machine with same installation disk, but want to try bootcamp as I have performance issues when running parallels and other OSX applications.

Not sure if issue is OSX version , Bootcamp Assistant version or Macbook model related.

Any advise to overcome the situation is welcome.

I had same issues on my 4,1 MB. I got past it, I will chew on it & see if I can help. But Lion is a dog I upped to ML even though it says NO for 64 bit SW extensions. I used MLPF .3, see my posts.
Parallels DT 9 is very good with ML & it is better to sandbox windows rather than naked on BC. Go to v10 if 64 bit say YES!!
