Problem Trackpad

The times when I go back to the previous page with the gesture (2 fingers) in safari, firefox etc. the trackpad will no longer respond to gestures, and normal ??

Hmm have you checked to see if gestures are turned on..? Stupid question, I know, but it never hurts to ask

Yes the gestures are active

Go into terminal and type in "killall Dock." This isn't a guaranteed solution, but I've seen it work a few times for things like this
