When ML came out I did a Time Machine backup, then proceeded to updat my mac to ML. Everything worked out well, no problems.. Yesterday I decided to do a clean install because I've been fighting for space, on my HD constantly.

So I used Super Duper, and backed up my user Data. Today I reinstalled ML and began reinstalling software, and transferring data. I've run into a problem with my iTunes library.

I copied the backup iTunes folder into the my "Music" folder and thought everything would work the same. When I chose the library I wanted it just re-copied my music to create a new library, and all my meta-data was missing, date added, playcount etc. Which I really want.

To my knowledge the new iTunes folders are structured differently? My backup iTunes library file doesn't have an extension, but it seems like the new iTunes library file has a .itl extension. I tried adding the extension to my old library file, but then comes up with an error. They are both considered iTunes.app documents, so I thought adding that extension would work.

What am I missing? Am I going about this wrong? I've attached a screen shot of what I have in my backup. The iTunes library files from 2005 seems like the last modified and I assume that's the one that I need. I've tried different things, and I've managed to get all my media items and along with play count data and ratings, but the date added is wrong. Which is really important to me. Any suggestions?
