Hi All,

I use multiple email accounts & have them on my Apple Mail. Due to the many thousands that have accumulated over the years, I decided to try & delete many of them.

1) For some reason, whenever I "delete" an email, a copy goes into the "Archive" folder so my system resources get used up badly - how do I stop this please?

2) I managed to get a few thousand emails from "Archive" into Trash. I then right clicked the Trash folder & selected "Erase Deleted Items".

The problem is that with nearly every deleted email, I get a pop up message stating that the email could not be moved to the mailbox Trash - I then have to select OK & another one immediately pops up - it would take forever to keep doing this as there are literally thousands of old emails hogging up my system & hard drive space. Please see screen-shot of Pop-Up encountered.

These types of Pop ups also regularly occur when trying to delete emails normally - only option available is to select OK.

Can anyone please tell me if it is possible to bypass/override these Pop-Ups so I can do mass delete/erase of the many thousands of emails in the Trash Folder & also in general? I would be deeply grateful as am at a loss here!

Many Thanks!
