Problem ugrading iphone to ipad bb

Ok. So i followed the dev blog instructions. I made a custom ipsw with pwnage unlock, while the phone was in dfu mode.

I went to restore. While in dfu mode, i get the error message 1600 prior to restore.

I normal restore. The phone restores(steve jobs animation on the screen). I get to error message 1604, then exit recovery with tiny umbrella.

Once the phone reboots, i check the baseband, still 05.14.02. The fw is still 3.1.3. Put the sim in. still no luck

Please any help or suggestions? This is the second day i am going about this with no luck, and i bought the sim card allready(cost me $85). please tell me i am doing something wrong

Try redsnow.
That will also install the ipad BB for you.

so am i supposed to use the stock ipad restore ipsw. i
ts allready jail broken, and gives me the options to
install cydia
custom bundle
just boot tethered
just enter pwned dfu mode right now

No, use your stock 4.2.1 iphone 3G firmware when redsnow wants you to point it to the ipsw.

I really doubt that you "Bricked" your phone, if you share some details I am sure you can figure it out.
