My Apple Store App shows that I have 11 apps that need updating. However, when I try to update them, I get an error message that says it cannot update with the current sign in ID. Apparently, I purchased these apps many years ago, using a long forgotten User ID and PW.
Any suggestions how I can resolve this issue?

It used to be that it would prompt you to enter the credentials for items purchased under a different account. Sounds like iOS is no longer doing that.

If you don't have the credentials for the account any longer, you'll probably have to delete the 11 apps off your phone if you want the update notification for them to go away.

If you can get the credentials, you could add that account to your phone under settings > accounts and passwords. That may authenticate the 11 apps and let their updates occur.

I'm not aware of any mechanism that would allow you to transfer purchases from one account to another unless you set both up as family sharing.
