I have an Apple Music subscription and am used to just asking the Homepod to play a given song.

Recently, the device has said it is having trouble connecting to Apple Music and to check the Home app.

When I look in the Home app, I see the Homepod and the Apple Music shows my account and that I'm signed in.

I thought perhaps I was hitting a device limit, does anyone know what the Homepod-based siri error message is?

I do use Apple Music on my laptop and even my phone as well--although as far as I know none of these devices are playing at the time I'm making these requests.

Just wanted to answer my own question. I signed out, then signed back in to my iTunes account in the HomePod settings in the Home app. At first it seemed to log in normally. But then I got a notification saying my password was bad, and it had a button to re-enter that. I did that and then it just worked again.

Pretty annoying, because when this happens it actually does not tell you what is wrong or how to fix it. Despite what Siri says on the Homepod itself.
