Hi there!
I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me on here. I have a 13-inch mid-2013 MBA, and currently I am running the Yosemite Public Beta 10.10 (version 2). I’m taking computer science in school, and a few months ago I had to install Java 7 on my computer - in order to do so, I followed these instructions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Av_K3tV_m5E.

Following making those changes (which mainly involved changing my SystemVersion.plist file), I restarted my computer accidentally before changing it back - big mistake! Nothing would open, and all my applications just had a big red x through them. So I went onto a friend’s computer, copied his SystemVersion.plist file onto a USB, and manually went back onto my computer and replaced this file. Now, everything seems to be more or less fine again, but I’m not getting the Public Beta updates anymore (version 3 or 4). Does anyone have any idea why? Would anyone be able to give me a copy of a correct SystemVersion.plist file, if they think that might solve the problem? My thought was that by loading my friend’s on, it has changed my eligibility somehow. I don’t know too much about this stuff, so any help/guidance would be appreciated!

Thanks!
