I have a problem on my PowerBook watching QuickTime streams on the internet. Everytime I try to watch a stream the QuickTime player freezes after a few seconds and I have to force quit the application. If I hold the mouse over the movie window I get the spinning beachball of death, but the application does not «unexpectedly quit». Anyone know what's going on and how to fix it?

QuickTime Player 6.5.1
Mac OS X 10.3.4

(I've had the problem since QT 6.0 when I first tried to watch a stream of an Apple event)

This happens to me every once in a while, just do a restart of your system and it should be fixed. I suspect this is simply from a chunk of corrupted data sent to the quicktime player.

Hi. Thanks for the suggestion, but a restart won't do it for me. Logging in and out or trashing the prefs don't seem to fix anything either.
