dear all,

this is my first post here and i think i am in serious trouble. i think i may have just bricked my iphone.

i live in india and got this iphone from a friend in new york. i have been using it for a week without any problems.

when i got it, it had 1.1.4 software on it. I even jailbreaked the phone with iliberty+.

i downloaded the 225 mb file from apple servers and i followed all the instructions like press shift while pressing on the update button and select the file from the hard disk..

then all of a sudden it gave me an error. i pulled out the cable, put it back in then the iphone displayed an image showing the white cable and and arrow pointing towards itunes..

so i did that and then it says that you need to restore back to 1.1.4, so after downloading it, and doing all the install stuff, it said please put in the original sim card that came with the phone.

so i put in the original att sim card and now it says "welcome to your new iphone", lets get started 1. activate yor phone from att ..........."

have i bricked my iphone? lets hope not....what shall i do?

thanks for the help in advance,
cheers from delhi
