Recently I've noticed that when I am using Finder to make my way through my various folders, whenever I double click a folder a new window opens up. Before, it would just open it in the same window. I was reading somewhere about holding down Option (or whatever) or shift-click and such to change the way that the windows are used but really I would like to get back to having it all be in one window... is there a setting that I may have changed accidently to do this? Hopefully someone can help me out.

in finder go to preferences. in the General tab uncheck "Always open folders in a new window"
