Dears Friends,
first I have to say sorry for my bad english, I will do my best.
I got Macbook A1342, no power on with and withouth Battery (I charged it with another MBP). If plug the magsafe connector the led will light really dimm, somethime green and somethime green and orange. If I plug the magsafe and battery at the same time than no led on magsafe.
The Magsafe Board isn't, I tryed with anotherone and i got the same symptome. I suspect the problem can be a bad capacitor or transistor?
I have schematic and board view for this model but how can I test the capacitor? Or may be the reasons of this problem is completly different?
Thank you a lot in advance for your help!
Great Regards!

If you are certain that it is not the magsafe board (the small circuit board inside the Macbook that the magsafe plugs into) then there are 2 possibilities.

1) Have you tried a different charger? It could be a bad charger.

2) The charging circuit on the logic board. This one is tricky. There is a device on the logic board that controls the battery charging. It also communicates with the SMC to tell it when it is charging and the SMC communicates with the charger to tell it when to send full current. The datasheet on that charger is available (see my thread on SMC issues) but will take a fair bit of electronics skill to troubleshoot.

Has the board suffered a liquid spill? If so, then the first step is to remove the logic board and clean with isopropyl alcohol.

Hello Dadioh,
thank you very for your feedback.
The board doesen't have a liquid damage.
Can you tell me wich is the device you mean? If you have the schematic of this board may be can you tell me the exactly Component number.
Thanks a Lot,
Yako

The schematic page will say battery charging circuit or something similar at the top of the page. Check my thread on the smc issue and there is a link to the datasheet for the charger.
