Ok Long story.... had a Powerbook Pismo... No problems with my internet conection... Powerbook Died and somebody lent me a PC.... Since then I keep getting " Conection limited or Nul" (thats a translation from Spainsh..I live in spain.) on the PC laptop. Thought it might be a WinSock problem... But tried the Pc on a friends conection both LAN and WiFi work fine.... No problem.
Problem is that Via the PC I cant access the router to eventually change the config. Last ditch resort I dug out my old Powerbook G3 and plugged it into the router... and it more or less works.(slowly) But its running OS9 and a really old Mozilla browser and has about 64MB ram... so its not much use. BUT I can access the router now on 198.162.1.1. When both the G3 and the PC are conected I sometimes get the conection on the PC " Conected at 100MBIP" but the little wheel ( on Chrome) just keeps turning and no conection. But 9 times out of 10 its " Limited or Nul"
Obviousely I have called my ADSL server but as usual it my problem, never thiers. And I cant cant access my router via the PC...they cant help. For the moment I'm using the PC on an open WiFi connect. Could it be the router that's half screwed.... Getting into the Router Via the Mac I checked...and it is on DHCP auto
Anybody out there have any idea's. Thanks
