Problem with Apple Mouse after upgrade to 10.11.4

I cannot move the cursor at all, but scrolling works. Tried deleting and unpairing, still doesn't work...

Suggestions??
 
Have you opened the battery housing up and looked for a piece of cat hair/dust strand over the sensing LED?
It doesn't take much to completely bugger tracking.
