Problem with apple watch: warranty or not?

Hi ,
i am an apple watch user since march 2018
now i checked my AW 3 for sell it and i found some area without color (It is space grey).
What is the problem?

I asked to my Apple store and i open chat with apple store online but they told me that don't know if they can change this with warranty or i will pay 80€ (I have apple care+).

For you: Can i change my AW3 with free warranty or i will payfor fix?

Defect, apple will cover for free under your ac+ warranty

I had a series 1 space gray that did that and was replaced under warranty
