Over the past few days I have been experiencing a weird issue when making phone calls on my AT&T iPhone 5. I will have full LTE service but when I start a phone call it drops to 4G with only one or two bars. Yesterday I was not able to make phone calls because of this. Has anyone else noticed this? I don't know if it matters but I am located in Central Massachusetts.

That's not a problem, that's how it works.
The phone cannot make voice calls over LTE.
So when you're on the phone it drops down to 3G/4G.
