When I get a call and am away from my iPhone I answer on my Apple Watch (series 3, non cellular).
Today I got a call and tried to answer it, but the microphone had a line through it, not letting me talk.
I googled the problem and got the usual tips, restart watch, restart phone and several other things that didn't work.
I can voice text and Siri works, so I know the microphone works. Somehow, something in the settings changed.
I called apple support and talked to a nice lady who suggested all the things I had already tried, then she wanted me to unpair the watch and reset as new. I didn't really want to, but I did and it still didn't fix the problem.
Her suggestion if that didn't work was to either make an appointment at an Apple store (40 miles away) or send it in.
Since the microphone works, I still think something in settings changed.
Any help would be appreciated.

As a follow up, I decided to go for the scorched earth solution. I reset the watch to new, deleted the watch app and activitey app from my phone, and restarted the phone. When pairing I set the watch as new.
Siri works, voice texting works, but on calls, still line through microphone, so I can't talk.
Guess I'm making a trip to the Apple store.
Still can't stop thinking it's a simple settings solution.
[doublepost=1533259856][/doublepost]lol, problem solved, I feel kinda dumb. Even though theres a line through the mike, it works.
Actually called someone and it works.
Resetting it fixed it.
