Coolbook doesn't work after updating from 10.6.1 to 10.6.2. When I open it, it says "This update requires a reboot" no matter how many times I reboot. I can't use it, and I also can't uninstall the driver to reinstall it and see if that corrects it. When I try to uninstall it through the preferences pane, it says "failed to uninstall Coolbook."

Will deleting the kext screw me up???

Go into safemode and remove everything associated with Coolbook. That's what I did. I used Find (before going into safemode), selected to show System files, and searched out every reference for Coolbook, then went into safemode and removed them all.

I have another problem, it seems that the throttling doesn't work anymore in Snow Leopard 10.6.2. If I check or uncheck the corresponding checkbox, it doesn't change anything and my settings are not considered (the voltage associated to each frequency is the default one).

I have the same problem

I just updated to 10.6.2 and throttling doesn't work anymore. I can't uninstall the program anymore either. I hope there is an update soon.
