Problem with external HD

Hello World !

I'm new

I have a problem with my external HD (as you can imagine)
It only display the content in Chinese (or something close) even the display name on the desktop is in Chinese 0_o.... idontgetit.com
When i put it on my pc everything is fine... its mac and pc compatible
I installed and reinstalled the "software" they give with the HD but nothing about language is ask, except when i have to agree at the Term and Condition... and i selected English (Duh) All the installation proceed in english, i restart and its the only thing in chinese on my computer ^^
please all my school project or on there and i need it because pc are too slow to work on

i have a g5 1.6 Ghz
running 10.5.8
i know for you folks its a dinosaur but its still A Tank for me

Forget about any software that came with it. Open Disk Utility(which is in the Utilities folder in your Applications folder), and then format the drive to MacOS Extended(Journaled). It should then be fine.

its give me that error:

ok it work when i format in on the mac it show up in english on the mac desktop, but when i put it on the pc its in chinese

oh my oh my i think i will buy a better ext hd i guess ?
