I'm new to macrumors so take it easy
. I'm running a 2009 macbook pro with a 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 on Mac OS X 10.6.8. I've been trying to restore my mac to the orignal out of box state, free of my old programs and files and other crud that has built up over the years. I have no installation dvds for I lent them out and they were not returned
. I originally tried starting my with command s and using some command lines to restore, which seemed like it was working wonders when the same mac intro. had begun the first time I used it. I went through the general administrative set up but once it was finished, it brought me to my desktop where everything was the same? All old applications and files were still there. I was expecting It to be wiped clean.. Does anyone know the fix to this, or how to get my mac restored to its original clean state?
Thanks!
