Hi,

So I very recently received a new iPad Air 2 which I bought for my Dad. Very impressed with it and so is he after using an iPad 2 for so long.
Both my Mum and Dad were using the same Apple Account but now I've moved my Dad onto his own - so now his iPhone and iPad are connected to his own account (and future Retina iMac).

I've setup family sharing between his account and my mothers, which has been really handy as it's meant he's not had to buy the same Apps twice.
I also bought him a £25 iTunes giftcard to load onto his account - he now has around £38 of credit on his account.

So when I went to buy a game on his iPad it asked me to enter my mothers debit card security number, no problem, entered it. Then it said payment method failed. Eh? Firstly it shouldn't be getting charged to that card as there's credit already on his Apple account and secondly the card has 'sufficient funds'.

So I have this fantastic new iPad Air 2 and I can't buy anything on it, great, thanks Apple. Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this?
