problem with finder in leopard

I just recently noticed something that hasn't been there before in my Finder. In the sidebar in the name next to the picture of the mac (macbook for me) and the name which is usually John's Computer to John's Computer (2). Does anyone know what is causing this

Did you accidentally delete it from the sidebar and then add an alias back there - twice?

Did you recently rename your user account or create a new user (With the same name)?

no not in ages like almost a year, but I recently deleted the part from the finder and I ctrl-clicked on Macintosh HD and selected Enclosing Folder which would be the John's Computer Folder and it still says John's Computer (2)

Drag it out, and then drag it back ... that should fix it.
