Problem with forms in Numbers

When I try to input data in a form rather than on the grid the keyboard automatically gives me a number pad instead of a QWERTY keyboard, and it's locked that way so I cannot input text on a form at all. I can't figure out how to default it to text. Any help? Thanks!
