Hi,
I've been trying to reset Mac Os Sierra on my Macbook Pro for the past couple of days but with no success.

I'm anything but an expert user & it was the first time I had to reset a mac in order to get a clean install but while doing so, something went wrong (or I did a wrong manip) with my first reinstall attempt and I now have to download the install files from apple servers every time I reboot (otherwise all I get after relaunch is the black screen with the blinking folder&question mark in the middle of the screen). This part of the process seem to work fine, all the files get downloaded (see screenie 3.jpg) but as soon as I try to go to the next step of the procedure
I get a generic error message at the end of the process (see attached screenie 4.jpg - it says something like "an error happened during the installation process. Please try and relaunch this app").

I presume the partitioning of the disks might be part of the issue (see screenies 2.jpg and 5.jpg)

I'm not familiar with this at all and I'm afraid to do more mistakes (my several reinstall attempts seem to have multiplied the partitioning / disk images which weren't there at the beginning and I don't know if this matters or not).

All the info I can find online seem to indicate Macintosh HD should be at the root level of the structure, so I don't know why it is a subbranch of AppleAPFSMedia on mine, what is the difference between it and Apple SSD SM012 and so on.

I have no idea what disks (or image) in this list should I partition, or delete, or format and if this could be the reason why the reinstall doesnt work. Any bit of help is welcome !

Cheers,
David
