Problem with Home folder and icons

1.So today my Documents folder was gone from Home, although I could see it in path bar when looking for files in it. I can even place it in sidebar and when I download picture to Home folder, it doesn't show up.

edit: I "showed" hidden files with MacPilot, and pictures/Doucements were there...so how do I unhide them?:rolleyes:

2.When I change icon of custom folder in Home (or even Movies, Applications) it stays changed until I log out...where's the catch?
