I currently use a macbook pro and using a mifi (verizon) at home. Works great. I want to use my old ibook G4 to use an old scanner but the ibook won't connect to internet. The wireless mifi connection is strong on the ibook and says it is connected. But when I try to open safari, it stalls and the beach ball just spins. Any ideas??

Make sure it is getting a good wireless and also it is getting a good DNS settings.

Plus a G4?! Talk about using a real old system.

yah, it is OLD. But I don't want to get a new scanner right now. I'll check the DNS
