Problem with iMovie and Background

I'm having a problem with iMovie. As you can see in the screenshot (ignore the spanish) the clip should have a blue background, but it's displaying a grey one. This happens with every type of background I try.

I'm running Lion (10.7.2) and iMovie 9.0.4, if that information helps.

EDIT: I have dragged & dropped a video to the timeline and same the background: it isn't displaying. I just have a grey

EDIT2: I tried exporting the clip to a Quicktime movie and the video does have a blue background. However, how I'm supposed to edit if I can't see anything?

Fortunately I launched the program today and it's working properly. Mods, close the thread if you want
