iOS Problem with interface builder. please help!

Hi, I have created a new project in Interface Builder and when i drag on an Image View on top of another image view it is erasing the the image i had on the screen before. This is applying to buttons, objects and library based items. Can anyone tell me why? and how is it fixed???
