The iPod forum doesn't have much traffic, so I'm hoping someone here could help me. I'm having issues with my 120GB Classic. Whenever I turn it on the Apple logo stays for awhile, then a message shows up saying "Use iTunes to restore" with a bunch of different languages under it. When I plug it into my MacBook Pro, it does not show up anywhere. It's not listed in the Finder or in iTunes. While it's plugged in, the iPod screen flashes Do Not Disconnect and the screen in black and white. I believe this is Disc Mode? But it's not registering on my computer. Anyone have any solutions???

Also, if I bring this to the Genius bar at an Apple store.. will any employee help me? I figure fixing iPod classics is the last thing they care about and they'd probably just roll their eyes if I brought it in haha.

No, they'll help.
