Ok. I'm sure theres a simple, obvious solution to this but I can't think of it. I have an iTunes library on my MBP; after slimming it down, I tried to move it to my new MBA, via drag and drop of the iTunes folder. But it won't work; I get the "disk is inaccessible, or locked, blah blah" message. After setting the main files to read/write accessible, I can now see my files in iTunes, but cannot edit them. It appears that every last song and folder is set to read-only, and I cannot find a way to mass-change them.
I tried using the migration tool, but since I have the same username/name on my two laptops, it requires that I make a new account. I have the same problem as above trying to move it from one user account on the same lappy to another. I even tried exporting the library to an external, pointing to the external on the new lappy, and then consolidating the drive. All the same.
Any brilliant ideas? I can't sit here and manually key in the read/write for every file in the 30+ gigs of music that I have.
