Problem with iTunes giving up on importing songs

Hi guys,

I have been having sort of a bizarre problem with my iTunes importing songs from any CD. The iTunes will begin importing songs like normal but will only import the first 2 or so minutes of the very first song and then sort of skip through the remaining songs quickly which don't work at all but show up in my library. Would any one happen to know how to fix this?
